HTTP header authentication

HTTP header authentication allows users to be logged in automatically by adding the userid to an attribute in the HTTP header. This feature is commonly used in settings where a reverse proxy is performing user authentication.

The screenshot above shows how HTTP header authentication is configured in Kantega SSO Enteprise. First, you specify the name of the header attribute bearing the user id, then you can specify the IP address range for clients that are allowed to authenticate though request headers.
