Login page customization
Login page customization replaced IDP customizable texts in version 7.32.1 since we rewrote our login page to be compatible with Atlassian’s new login page.
Login page customization allows you as the administrator to customize the login experience provided to your users when you have configured one or more identity providers in Kantega SSO. This page allows you to customize the text content of all elements that we create on the login page for IdP authentication along with other customization such as sorting the identity providers, changing the generic SAML/OIDC error message, and customizing and enabling a custom information box on the login page (see Custom information box on the login screen).
Identity provider
The ”Identity provider” tab can have multiple different values depending on the configured redirect mode (Redirect rules) of your identity providers. If you have an active identity provider using either Known domain, User group, or User directory as its redirect mode, then you will have the options in the first picture below. The reason why the login page switches depending on the redirect mode, is that the redirect modes mentioned above all require that the user provides their username to Kantega SSO to be redirected correctly.
If none of the configured identity providers have Known domain, User group, or User directory as their redirect mode then the identity provider tab will contain the fields shown in the picture below:
Progress bar
The “Progress bar” tab changes the texts shown while a user is being redirected. If you wish to change how long it takes before a user is sent to their identity provider, you can configure it in Shared redirect rules.
Atlassian login
The “Atlassian login” tab allows you to customize the text content of all the elements we insert into Atlassian’s login page. These elements are contained within the red box in the picture below. We do not offer support for changing all the text values of the login page since they are managed by Atlassian.
Sort IdPs
The “Sort IdPs” tab allows you to control the order of the identity providers on the login page if you have multiple visible identity providers. Note that only identity providers marked with VISIBLE are visible to end users. The identity providers will be displayed to users in the same order that they are shown on this page.
Other settings
The “Other settings” tab contains other UI changes you can make to the login page. This includes customizing the text displayed to users if a generic SAML/OIDC error occurs during authentication, and enabling/changing the custom information box which is documented here: Custom information box on the login screen
