API Key scopes guide

When creating new Organizational API keys for this app you will need to select API key without scopes.

Why do we need so much access?

The Get list of workspaces endpoint currently does not work if an API key is created with scopes.

What do we you use the API key for?

We use the API keys on the following endpoints. This can be verified through the your organizations Audit logs (https://admin.atlassian.com/o/<org_id>/audit-log)

• User's last active dates

  • This is used for getting the added_to_org and to retrive a single users last view activity

• Remove user from group

• Get managed accounts in an organization

• Search for users in an organization (new user mangement experience only)

• Get users in an organization

• Search for groups within an organization

  • Find groups that are synced from an external IDP

• Get domains in an organization

  • Used for dermining if users are managed in bulk

• Get users in an organization

• Get list of workspaces

  • Used for several things. To determine if an organization is using the old or new user management experience. Find all activated products and directory ids.
