This documentation is applicable to both Jira/JSM and Confluence, as our application functions similarly across all these platforms. This consistency allows users to easily navigate and utilize the features, ensuring a streamlined experience regardless of the tool being used.

Our Automated User Cleanup & Deactivator apps are available both for data center and cloud. Both are designed to help you as IT administrator automate the often cumbersome task of staying on top of user activity and to deactivate users when they no longer have a legitimate reason to have access to your Jira instance. Due to technical differences in the host software, the feature set differs slightly between the data center and the cloud app.

Automated User Cleanup and Deactivator for Data Center

The data center app aims to provide an enhanced user management experience for sysadmins in addition to the cleanup features. It makes sorting and filtering detailed user data more streamlined than in the Atlassian admin interface.

For cloud customers, the app is especially helpful as a tool to streamline administration of external users such as consultants and guest researchers, in addition to providing a visual overview of activity levels and cleanup scheduling automating single or multiple schedules for all Jira users.
